Catherine Louella Glasl, 72, Alexander Street, Brockway, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2015, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born May 29, 1942, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Samuel J. and Maxine "Betty" Hanner Montgomery.
Catherine had been employed over the years working as a secretary for various local businesses and most recently she had been employed as a cashier at BiLo in DuBois.
She was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church in Reynoldsville.
She enjoyed sewing and needlework. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, her dog Joey, and most of all the time she spent with her grandchildren.
She is survived by a daughter, Leslie (Reed) Lafferty of Pittsburgh; three sons: Thomas (Amy) Glasl of Brockway, John (Deb) Glasl of Reynoldsville, Steve (Lisa) Glasl of Irvine, Calif.; two sisters, Elizabeth (Ken) Harris of New Palestine, Ind.; Jean M. Montgomery of Dade City, Fla.; two brothers, S. James (Sharyl) Montgomery of Belle Vernon and William F. Montgomery of Greenwood, Ind. She is also survived by seven grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by an infant brother, Robert John Montgomery.
Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. today (Tuesday, Feb. 10) at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11 at St. Tobias Church in Brockway with the Rev. Msgr. Charles Kaza as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Portage Township Cemetery near Emporium. Memorial donations may be made to the or a .
