Charles F. Galbraith, age 77, died on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017, at the James P. Wilmot Cancer Center at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, N.Y.
There will be no service as Chuck chose to have a celebration of life party, while he was still with us, to be with his friends and loved ones.
Memorial donations may be made to Clifton Springs United Methodist Church, 1 E. Main St., Clifton Springs, NY 14432.
Chuck was the first born son of the late Charles H. and Mildred J. Myers Galbraith. He was born on the family farm in Broadacre, Ohio. Butch, to his family, was a 1958 graduate of Wayne High School in Bloomingdale, Ohio. He attended Ohio University and the University of Steubenville. Chuck worked most of his life in construction in both the U.S. and abroad. He was a member of the Clifton Springs United Methodist Church and also enjoyed golfing, fishing, and gardening; he was known for his beautiful roses.
He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Yvonne M. Galbraith of DuBois, Pa.; four children: Tracy (Jeff) Esham of West Palm Beach, Fla., Tami Ferguson of Travelers Rest, S.C., Tari LaGasse of Delray Beach, Fla., Daniel Bish of Rochester, N.Y.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; brother, David (Judy) Galbraith of Bloomingdale, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements have been made with the Cheney Funeral Home, 70 Main St., Phelps, N.Y.
