Charlotte "Lottie" Bigar, 60, of DuBois, PA, a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend left this world on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at her home, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on June 22, 1960, in Ridgway, PA, she was the daughter of the late Sherwood and Delores (Streich) Wilson.

She was a graduate of Ridgway High School and the University of Pittsburgh.

On August 18, 1984, she married her husband of 36 years, Joseph Bigar, Jr. He survives.

Many in the area knew Lottie well. A dedicated maternity nurse at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital for over 30 years, she looked after expectant mothers and their newborns with care and love. She found so much joy bringing life into the world. She was also a member of the former St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church.

Lottie is survived by her daughters: Nicole Orban and her husband, Philip of Mooresville, NC and Kayla Bigar Miller and her husband, Kurt, of King George, VA; and mother-in-law, Elizabeth Bigar. She was a proud "Mia" to four granddaughters: Sloane, Reilly, Evan and Isla. Lottie is also survived by her sisters: Elizabeth Predko and her husband, Michael, Bobby Ann Steger and her husband, Andy; and brothers: Spike Wilson and his wife, Racy, and Bruce Wilson and his wife, Nancy, as well as many nieces and nephews. For Lottie, family meant everything.

She was preceded in death by a niece, Jessica.

Lottie's cheerful attitude and contagious laugh will be missed by all who cherished her.

I met Lottie 17 years ago when I had my first baby. She was so wonderful and cheerful and made me feel so great. I have never forgot her and how special she was to me that day. May God be with you.
