Christopher Patrick Michael Amatrone, age 63, of Treasure Lake, DuBois, Pa., died on Sunday, Feb. 21, 2016, at U.P.M.C. Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa., after a brief illness.
Born on Sept. 2, 1952, in DuBois, Pa., he was the son of the late William and Helen Gieb Amatrone. He was married to Tami L. Carion on April 15, 1977, and she survives.
Chris was in management with Owens-Illinois having served in various managerial positions at different facilities throughout his 40-year career before retiring in November of 2012.
He was baptized Catholic and attended many of the local Catholic churches. Chris loved music and played in several All-Style bands back in the late 60's and early 70's. He enjoyed spending time outside and grooming his yard. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife. What he found the most joy in was spending time with his sons and grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is also survived by two sons, Michael Amatrone of Wake Forest, N.C. and Timothy (D'Lynn) Amatrone of Waco, Texas; six grandchildren: Peyton, Hayley, Christopher, Adrianna, Madison and Tyler; two brothers, Gary Amatrone of Brockport and B.J. (Kathy) Amatrone of Brockway; an aunt, Marge Keller of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Michael and Mary Gieb; paternal grandparents, Patrick and Mary Amatrone; and a brother-in-law, Mitch Carion.
Calling hours will be from 3-7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24, at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, at St. Tobias Church, also in Brockway, with the Rev. Msgr. Charles Kaza presiding. Burial will follow in Morningside Cemetery.
