Christopher T. McAninch, 47, Canyon Lake, Texas, formerly of DuBois, Pa., passed away peacefully after a complex battle with a rare infection, at San Antonio Military Medical Center, San Antonio, Texas, on Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017.
Born on Aug. 21,1970, in DuBois, Pa., he was the son of Connie (Tom) Busky, Reynoldsville, Pa., and Larry (Mary Kay) McAninch, DuBois, Pa.
Chris is survived by his wife, Elizabeth McAninch-Canyon Lake, Texas; daughters, Dezirae (Johnny) Castaneda, San Antonio, Texas, Jessi McAninch, McMurray, Pa.; sons, Justin McAninch, McMurray, Pa., Christopher and Caden McAninch, New Braunfels, Texas; brother, Scott (Jeannie) McAninch, DuBois, Pa.; sister, Cheri (Bill) Ishman, Brockway, Pa.; grandchildren, Khloe Garza, Wesley and Calvin Castaneda, San Antonio, Texas; nieces, Cassandra McAninch, Parkersburg, W.Va., Tabitha Ishman, Pittsburgh, Pa.; nephews, Joshua McAninch, DuBois, Pa., Jacob and Matthew Ishman, Brockway, Pa.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Glen and Ruth McAninch, Clair and Jean Shofestall.
Chris was an avid hunter, mountain biker and outdoorsman. He was a light-hearted and fun loving man who cherished his family. He will be missed by many.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018, Noon at Tri-County Church of God, on the hill.
