Clara H. Rankin Heasley, 100, Rimersburg, died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014, in Clarview Nursing Home, Sligo.
Born Oct. 27, 1914, she was the daughter of Thomas F. and Urdie Minick Craig. Clara was married to Raymond Rankin who died in December 1940. She later married Samuel Heasley, who died in December 1967.
Clara was a member of the Reformed Presbyterian Church in Rimersburg. She was employed by the O-I glass plant in Clarion.
Clara is survived by one daughter, Sara (William) Douthett of Rimersburg; granddaughter, Melissa (Eric) Shugarts of Brockway; grandson, Matthew Douthett of Seneca; and two great-grandchildren, Seth and Daniel Shugarts of Brockway.
Also, surviving is one stepdaughter, Doris Miller of Muncie, Ind.; and four step-daughters-in-law: Donna Heasley of Corsica, Marian Heasley and Linda Heasley, both of Strattanville and Arlene Heasely of Leeper. In addition, she is survived by numerous stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Nita Jane Rankin; son-in-law, James Merle "Turk" Rankin; four brothers: James A. Craig, Fred F. Craig, Clyde C. Craig, Alexander "Bud" Craig; five sisters: Dorothy Fleming, Ruth Horner, Ann Tremba, Mary Louise Craig and Beulah Craig.
Friends and family will be received from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014, at the Reformed Presbyterian Church in Rimersburg. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Nov. 15, 2014, directly after calling hours with Rev. John Monger officiating. Burial will follow at the Rimersburg Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home, Brockway.
