Clara I. "Carol" (Giulianelli) Walczak, age 80, of Erie and DuBois passed away Monday, Nov. 14, 2016, at Christ the King Manor in DuBois.
She was born in Erie on Sept. 4, 1936, a daughter of the late Jeff and Clara (Kestner) Giulianelli.
Carol was a lifelong parishioner at St. George Church and loved her Catholic faith.
She worked for the City of Erie for several years, the cafeteria at St. George and Cathedral Prep Schools and worked with her husband at H & J Associates. She enjoyed reading and watching her beloved Steelers, Pirates and Penguins. She was a very active member of her senior center and especially enjoyed going on vacations with her family and bus trips with her friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, Norbert J. Walczak; and a brother, Alfred A. Giulianelli. Survivors include her five children, Kathleen Welch (Edward) of DuBois, Barbara Lieb (Ted) of Penn Run, David Walczak (Kathryn) of Centerville, Md., Donald Walczak of Erie and Christopher Walczak (Michelle) of Harborcreek; nine grandchildren; one great granddaughter; three sisters, Theresa Gagliano (Elio) of Italy, Donna Miller (Raymond) and Linda Burke (Bill) both of Florida; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Carol's family would like to thank the Memory Support Unit at Christ the King Manor and Penn Highlands DuBois Hospice for the wonderful care they gave to her.
Friends are invited to call at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th Street at Greengarden Boulevard on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and are invited to a prayer service there Saturday at 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at 11 a.m. at St. George Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
