Dallas "Danny" D. Senior, 83, Falls Creek, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at the DuBois Nursing Home.
Born Sept. 3, 1933, in Sabula, he was the son of the late George W. and A. Katherine (McDonald) Senior.
He married Betty L. (McDonald) Senior on April 1, 1961, in Falls Creek. She preceded him in death on Oct. 12, 2016.
Danny was a laborer and installer for National Fuel and retired in 1990. He was the former owner of a gas station. In his down time, he enjoyed woodworking and working on vehicles. He was a member of Smithtown Community Church where he served as a trustee.
Danny was an Army veteran, having honorably served in active duty from 1956-1958. He then spent four years in the Army reserves.
He is survived by his children: Russell (Barbara) Burkett, Dennis (Debra) Burkett, Cindy (Paul) Fritz, Terri (Duane) Oblack, Connie (Lee) Stoddard, and Christi Bundy; 12 grandchildren: Dawn, Dennis, Tiffanie, Laura, Wesley, Erin, Ethan, Selina, Kyle, Andrew, Michael, and Cayli; 10 great-grandchildren: Trisha, Carly, Julia, Jack, Damien, William, Peyton, Wyatt, Layla, and Isaiah; and a great-great-grandchild, Aria.
He was the last member of his immediate family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; sisters, Bernice and Caroline; and brothers, "Grant" and Bill.
Friends and family will be received Saturday, April 8, from 10-11 a.m. at the Smithtown Community Church. A service of remembrance will follow the visitation at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Harold Hills officiating. Interment will be in Beechwoods Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Adamson Funeral Chapel, Inc., DuBois.
