David Patrick Buffone, age 50, of DuBois, died on Friday, June 24, 2016, as a result of injuries he sustained from being hit by a motor vehicle.
He was born on Oct. 19, 1965, in Johnstown, Pa., the son of the late David A. and Judith (Cobes) Buffone.
He was a graduate of DuBois Area High School and Clarion University.
David was an avid jeep enthusiast who loved the outdoors, off-roading, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and anything Army-related.
He is survived by three sisters: Beth A. Buffone of Keyser, W.Va., Lorri D. (Richard) Starr of Brockway, Pa., Paige M. Buffone of Moon Township, Pa.; and a sister-in-law, Michelle Smith of DuBois, Pa.; one brother, Edward A. Buffone of Portland, Ore.; his maternal grandmother, Ruth (Beyers) Cobes of Zephyr Hills, Fla.; an uncle, Louis Buffone (Margaret) of Brockway/Florida; an aunt, Cathy Dennis of Lewisburg, Pa.; several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Brad Smith; his paternal grandparents; and maternal grandfather.
Friends will be received at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home in Brockway from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2016. A memorial service be held at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Dick Whitaker. Interment will then take place immediately following, at St. Tobias Cemetery in Brockway, Pa.
