Donald E. Angelo, 70, Spring Run Road, Weedville, died suddenly, Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2014, at Penn Highlands Elk.
Born June 23, 1944, in Force, he was the son of the late David and Rose Zambanini Angelo. He was married to Nancy Schneider on May 23, 1964. She survives.
He was a graduate of Bennetts Valley High School and lived all his life in Bennetts Valley.
Don was retired, being a truck driver most of his life and a school bus driver for Michelini Bus Co. for many years.
He was a member of St. Joseph Church.
He was a musician known for playing the saxophone and his years playing with the Sun Rays Orchestra.
Don especially loved his grandchildren.
Survivors also include four children: Lisa Angelo of Weedville, Barbara (James) Allegretto of Force, Christine (Scott) VanVoorhis of Weedville, Joseph (Kelly) Angelo of Palmyra, Pa.; seven grandchildren: Brad, Nicole, Nick, T.J., Maria, Rachel and Julia; and a brother, David (Joanna) Angelo of Kersey.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Alma Feldman.
There will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 24, 2014, at St. Joseph Catholic Church of Force, with the Rev. Fr. William Sutherland as celebrant.
Interment will be in St. Joseph Church Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial donations be made to St. Joseph Church or the Bennetts Valley Ambulance.
The Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home, Penfield, is in charge of arrangements.
