Donald E. Crytser, 87, DuBois, passed away Monday, Sept. 29, 2014, at Christ the King Manor.
Donald was born Aug. 8, 1927, in Falls Creek, the son of the late Harry C. Crytser and Twila M. Welchons Crytser.
He married Rosalie C. Kiel on Aug. 11, 1946, in DuBois. She preceded him in death Aug. 4, 1994.
He graduated from Brockway High School in 1946. He was a kiln man at Jackson China for 22 years and was also a barber.
Donald was a member of the First United Methodist Church in DuBois. He enjoyed barbershop music.
He is survived by a foster daughter, Teri Ann Switzer of Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers: Clarence, Harry, and James Crytser; and two sisters, Rose Butt and Ruth Crytser. He was the last remaining member of his immediate family.
There will be no public visitation. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6 at the First United Methodist Church in DuBois with Pastor Lance Tucker officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Adamson Funeral Chapel Inc. in DuBois.
