Dora F. Haag, 84, of Hanover, passed peacefully on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016, at Health South Rehabilitation Hospital, York, Pa. She was the loving wife of Harry A. Haag for 64 years.
Born Dec. 26, 1931, in Cloe, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Chester and Alberta (Humbert) Fox.
Dora was a member of First United Methodist Church, Hanover and their United Methodist Women's group. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Manchester, Md.Mrs. Haag was employed with Commercial Credit in Baltimore for a number of years. Dora enjoyed gardening, especially roses, and tending to her many house plants. She also liked keeping a very tidy home.
In addition to her husband Harry, Dora is survived by three sons, Camden L. Haag of Hanover, Blake A. Haag of Raleigh, N.C. and Randy B. Haag of Greenville, S.C.; three sisters, Mary Cline of Creve Coeur, Ill., Evelyn Hassell of New Orleans, La. and Marjorie McGuire of Ashville, Ala.; two brothers, Lee Fox of Dubois, Pa. and Maurice Fox of Commodore, Pa.; also five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Joanna Way, Donna Meyers and twin sister, Doris Lindy.
A graveside service to celebrate the life of Dora Haag will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016, at Trinity United Church of Christ Cemetery, Hill St., Troutville, Pa., with Pastor Audra Krise officiating. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, Pa.
