Dorothy C. Snell, 77, 2117 Hatten Road, Brookville, died Monday, Oct. 5, 2015, at Heritage Valley Hospital in Beaver, Pa.
She was born Sept. 8, 1938, in Brockway, a daughter of the late Henry J. Jamison and Virginia Blake Jamison. On May 5, 1954, she married Harry Snell Jr. He survives.
Dorothy was a retired LPN from Jefferson Manor.
She was a member of the Emerickville Church of God, a life member of the National Rifle Association and a member of the Experimental Aviation Association.
She is also survived by five sons: Allen D. (Linda) Snell of Brookville, Edward A. Snell of Sugar Grove, Richard C. (Karen) Snell of Brookville, Harry Snell III of Huntsville, Ala., Robert J. Snell of Brookville; four daughters: Shirley A. Neff of Brookville, Donna J. Schwartz of Darlington, Nancy L. (William) Robinson of Columbus, Ohio, Teri S. (Dennis) Walburn of Luthersburg; 33 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; and two brothers, Melvin Jamison of Brockway and Gerald (Peggy) Jamison of Kane.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Patrick Snell; brother, James Jamison; and sister, Florence Mitchell.
Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. today, Wednesday, Oct. 7, at the Bernard P. Snyder Funeral Home in Reynoldsville. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, at the funeral home with the Rev. Gregory Beach officiating. Burial will be in the Emerickville Church of God Cemetery, Brookville.
