Douglas Eugene Billock, age 65, of Cemetery Hill, Brockway, Pa., passed away on Sunday morning, July 12, 2015, at his home, surrounded by his family after a long battle with cancer.
Born on May 27, 1950, in DuBois, Pa., he was the son of the late Lawrence "Bud" Billock and Shirley Taylor Billock who survives and lives in Brockway.
He was married to Judy A. Robinson on Dec. 28, 2002, and she survives.
He had been employed at Brockway Glass and retired after 20 plus years of service. He then went on to work at various jobs thereafter.
Doug had a love for all types of fishing and outdoor work. Keeping himself busy was his passion.
In addition to his wife and his mother, he is survived by two daughters, Laura (Monti) Stratton of Bethel Park, Pa., Rhonda (Scott) Blose of DuBois; three step-sons: Kevin Rice of Toms River, N.J., Sean Rice of Lakewood, N.J., Brian Rice of Brockway; one sister, Lucinda (John) Shagena of Reynoldsville; two brothers, Kevin (Fay) Billock of Brockport, Pa., Brad (Lisa) Billock of Brockway; four grandchildren: Monti Stratton and Rachel Stratton; Eric Blose and Alexandra Blose; four sisters-in-law: Bonnie Keeley of Boynton Beach, Fla., Carol (David) Wohr of Deptford, N.J., Robin (Paul) Mangano of Farmingdale, N.J., Cindy Gibson of Howell Township, N.J.
Doug is also survived by a step grandparent, Michael Lopez of Brockway and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Friends will be received from 3-5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. A Memorial Service will be held at 5 p.m. also at the funeral home with Pastor David Nagele officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses or to , 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
