Frank A. Snyder, 70, of Orange Park, Florida, died on Friday, July 7, 2017, at Orange Park Medical Center in Orange Park, Florida.
Born Thursday, Sept. 26, 1946, in Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Frank M. Snyder and the late Mildred (Anderson) Snyder. He was the husband of Janet L. (Walls) Snyder for 42 years. They were married on Sept. 14, 1974.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a 1964 graduate of the Reynoldsville-Sykesville High School. He enjoyed watching sports, especially football, baseball and basketball.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughters, Nicole Finger (Joe) of Middleburg, Fla., Heather Glass (Travis) of Middleburg, Fla., and Mandy Whitener (Nick) of Orange Park, Fla.; brothers, Frank M. Snyder II (Corine) of Reynoldsville, Pa., and Fred Snyder of Reynoldsville, Pa.; sisters, Vermyra Morgan (Bruce) of Grampian, Pa., and Eathelda Georgeff (Wiliam) of Las Vegas, Nev.; five grandchildren: Emma, Gabriel, Jillian, Addision and Alex.
He was predeceased by his parents and two brothers, Norman and Donald Snyder.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 13, 2017, at Reynoldsville Presbyterian Church located at 608 E. Main St., Reynoldsville, PA 15851, with the Rev. Steven J. Hendrickson officiating. Military honors will be preformed by the Jefferson County Honor Guard following the service. Interment will be in Reynoldsville Cemetery, Reynoldsville, Pa.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at Bernard P. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., 206 E. Main Street, Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania.
