Geraldine E. Deemer, 87, of Reynoldsville, Pa., died on Monday, May 16, 2016, at McKinley Health Center in Brookville, Pa.
Born Thursday, Sept. 20, 1928, in Shippenville, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Frank E. Beichner and the late Hattie E. (Baughman) Beichner. She was the wife of the late Fred A. Deemer Jr., who died Aug. 11, 2001.
She was a 1946 graduate of Shippenville High School and was a former employee of Cameron Manufacturing in Reynoldsville, Pa.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Reynoldsville, Pa., the Rosary Altar Society and the Catholic Daughters of America.
Surviving are son, Fred A. Deemer III (Angela) of DuBois, Pa.; daughter, Mary Ann Hartzell (David) of Emlenton, Pa.; brothers, Richard Beichner (Meda) of Shippenville, Pa. and Allen Beichner (Delores) of Shippenville, Pa.; sisters, Margaret "Peg" Fair of Spring Hill, Fla., Rita Kiehl (Richard) of Cranberry, Pa. and Judy McCleary of Knox, Pa.; grandchildren: Heather Riley, Jennifer Deemer, Michelle Clark, Bridget McCoy, Christopher Deemer, Holly Deemer; and great-grandchildren: Nicholas, Nathan, Rowan, Carson, Abigail.
In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by brothers, Leonard, Frances and James Beichner; and sisters, Esther Matthews and Elva Kiehl.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 19, 2016, at Bernard P. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., 206 E. Main Street, Reynoldsville, Pa., where a Rosary service will be held at 3 p.m. followed by a service by the Court of St. Mary's #890 Catholic Daughters of America at 3:30 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 20, 2016, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, located at 607 E. Main St., Reynoldsville, Pa., with the Rev. Fr. Richard Tomasone officiating. Interment will be in Lakelawn Memorial Park, Reynoldsville, Pa.
