Harold E. "Smokey" Reynolds, age 79, of Route 28 North, Reynoldsville (Hazen), Pa., died on Sept. 8, 2016, in Rapid City, S.D., while he was visiting the midwestern states, the mountains and sightseeing with his son, Ricky.
Born on Sept. 27, 1936, he was the son of the late Clark and Violet Lockwood Reynolds. He was married to Roseanne Kephart and she preceded him in death in May of 1997.
Retired, he had been employed as a Warsaw Twp. Supervisor for 27 years.
He was a member of the Allens Mills United Methodist Church. Smokey was a member of the Eagles Club in Brookville and was an avid supporter of many law enforcement agencies in the area.
He enjoyed restoring anything old, breathing new life back into whatever the project was. His greatest joy was hunting, especially for elk and mule deer out west and being in the outdoors.
He is survived by two sons, Ricky Reynolds of Hazen and Romney (Vicky) Reynolds of Emerickville, Pa.; three brothers, Danny (Phyllis) Reynolds of Brockway, Kevin Reynolds of Falls Creek, Gary (Vivian) Reynolds of Sugar Hill, Pa. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and his wife he is also preceded in death by a son, Michael Reynolds.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m., also at the funeral home with Pastor Don Henderson officiating. Burial will be at Temple Cemetery in Hazen.
