Homer Allen Broscious, 73, of Reynoldsville, died on Monday, Dec. 19, 2016, at Penn Highlands DuBois in DuBois, Pa.
Born Monday, Jan. 25, 1943, in DuBois, he was the son of the late Homer Broscious and the late Pearl (Lydic) Broscious.
Homer was a 1960 graduate of Reynoldsville High School. He served as a Boiler Mate in the Navy on the USS Vulcan out of Norfolk, Va. He was a meat cutter by trade and worked for Riverside Markets. After his retirement, he worked part-time for Krajewski Farms. He was a member of the J.M. Read Masonic Lodge, Reynoldsville Fire Company and the Hyde Fire Company. His hobbies included antique tractor collection and restoration. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Carol (Long) Broscious; daughter, Kellie Stone and her husband Vance; stepson, Greg Long and his wife Mary Kay; stepson Doug Long and his wife Pam; six grandchildren: Drew, Nick, Christian, Brooke, Meagan and Nathan; two great-grandchildren, Oliver and Xavier; and two sisters, Audrey McGranor and Marge Bliss.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Pearl; and his brother, Paul Broscious.
A memorial service will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017, at the J.M. Read Masonic Lodge, N. 4th Street and Grant Street, Reynoldsville, PA 15851.
