Imogene E. Jones, 90, DuBois, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at Christ the King Manor.
Born Nov. 2, 1924, in DuBois, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Mildred (Brobst) Heberling. On Dec. 31, 1941, she married William H. "Bill" Jones. He preceded her in death Aug. 13, 2001.
Imogene worked at Riverside as a sales clerk. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in DuBois, the Vivian Brown Sunday School Class, the DuBois Nursing Home Auxiliary and was once an active member in the DuBois Girl Scout Council.
She enjoyed being with her family, golfing, playing the organ and gardening.
She is survived by her nine children: James A. Jones of Dallas, Texas, William J. Jones (Ilean) of DuBois, Sandra Moser of Downingtown, Dorothy Scalercio of Bellefonte, Jackie (Walter) Shaffer of Butler, Norma Gray of Dallas, Texas, Linda (Rick) Meredith of Brockport, Cheryl Jones and her fiancé, David Sines, of Delray Beach, Fla., and Nancy (Rick) Ciganik of Glenside; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Harold and his wife, Betty Heberling, of Houston, Texas.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Norma Brown and Doris Poydock; and a brother, John Heberling.
Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 4, and from 10-11 a.m. Friday, June 5, at the Mohney-Yargar Funeral Chapel Inc., DuBois. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 5, 2015, at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Lance Tucker officiating. Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
