Jack W. Crawford, 87, of Hoovertown Road, Penfield, died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014, at his residence after a lengthy illness.
Born March 8, 1927, in Falls Creek, he was a son of the late Archie and Virginia Challingsworth Crawford.
He married Norma Riley Crawford. She survives.
Jack served in the Navy during World War II. He worked as a foreman for Joyce Pipeline.
In addition to his wife, Norma Crawford of Penfield, he is survived by a brother, Foster K. Crawford of DuBois, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Gary; a sister, Kathryn Fahnestock; and three brothers: Archie Jr., Ray and Dale.
There will be no pubic visitation. A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Morningside Cemerty in the Soldier Circle.
The famliy suggests memorial donations be made to the Bennett's Valley Ambulance.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home in Penfield.
