James A. Wilson Jr., 45, of Reynoldsville, died unexpectedly on Monday, Jan. 2, 2018.
He was born Feb. 28, 1972, in DuBois, a son of Karen (Ben) DeSalve Wilson Marzella of Ridgway, and James A. (Molly) Wilson Sr. of DuBois.
On June 17, 1995, he married Jamie Majchrzak, who survives of St. Marys.
Jim started his career as a Class A Die Setter in Pennsylvania and Ohio. He spent more than 10 years as a professional carpet installer in the DuBois area. Most recently, he was a self-employed contractor. Jim was a skilled craftsman in many areas and took great pride on all that he did. He was an avid Raiders fan along with his step-father, Ben.
He enjoyed raising Jack Russell Terriers and was never seen without his furry friend, Bug. Jim was very proud of his daughters and grandson.
He is survived by two daughters, Brianna Wilson of Emporium and Bryce Wilson of the U.S. Navy with the USS Florida Gold Crew in Kings Bay, Georgia, and by one grandson, Zaidyn Bartlett of Emporium. He is also survived by two brothers, John (Brittany) Wilson of Penfield, and Trevor Wilson of DuBois, by two sisters, Jennifer (James) Chittester of Brockway and Laura Wilson of Pittsburgh, as well as by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John DeSalve and Lillian Munn DeSalve McMillen; his paternal grandfather, Harry Wilson; and by his step-grandparents, Anthony and Alvera "Molly" Marzella and Clay and Donna Kohler.
A celebration of Jim's life will be held on Monday, Jan. 8, 2018, at 1 p.m. at the Tri-County Church, 1881 Old State Highway 255, DuBois, PA 15801.
Memorial Contributions, if desired, may be made in Jim's name to Gateway Humane Society, 1211 Airport Road, Falls Creek, PA 15840 or to the Elk County Humane Society, 1029 E. Eschbach Road, St. Marys, PA 15857.
