James F. Cramer, 86, 1100 W. Long Ave, DuBois, died Friday morning, May 8, 2015, at Christ the King Manor, DuBois.
Born June 6, 1928, he was a son of the late James F. Cramer Sr. and Grace Chambers Cramer. He married Hazel D. Egan Cramer on Dec. 28, 1950. She preceded him in death Feb. 6, 2010.
James was a 1947 graduate of Punxsutawney High School. He retired from Bell Telephone Company after 42 years of service.
He served as an Army sergeant in the Korean War.
James was a member of the Reynoldsville Presbyterian Church, the DuBois American Legion, Punxsutawney Moose Lodge, and a life member of the St. Joe's Polish Club, Adrian and Bell Telephone Pioneers Club.
He is survived by three sons: James R. Cramer of Punxsutawney, Larry E. Cramer and Terry L. Cramer, both of Sigel; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Michael, and a brother, Robert Cramer.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, May 11, at the Bernard P. Snyder Funeral Home in Reynoldsville. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, at the funeral home with the Rev. Steven J. Hendrickson officiating. Burial will be in Lakelawn Memorial Park, Reynoldsville.
