James Fye, 84, of Reynoldsville, Pa., died on Sunday, June 26, 2016, at DuBois Nursing Home in DuBois, Pa.
Born Sunday, Oct. 18, 1931, in Clarion Township, Pa., he was the son of the late Amos Fye and the late Gladys (Howard) Fye.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War era, having served in Germany as a Corporal with Battery A of the 299th Field Artillery Battalion, for which he was awarded the Occupation Medal.
He was a member of Paradise Community Church, F.O. Eagles #540 and VFW Post 813 of DuBois.
He retired from Reynoldsville Caskets in 1992 after working there for nine years, and was a former employee of Crescent Brick in Falls Creek for 24 years and Osborn Machine Shop for five years.
Surviving are son, James B. Fye of Reynoldsville, Pa.; daughters, Paula Huffman (Lee) of Reynoldsville, Pa. and Lisa Geist (Roger) of Reynoldsville, Pa.; brother, Robert Roman of Reynoldsville, Pa.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he is predeceased by a brother, a great-granddaughter and a daughter-in-law.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday June 30, 2016, at Bernard P. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., located at 206 E. Main St., Reynoldsville, PA 15851, with the Rev. Audra Krise officiating. Full military honors will be rendered by the DuBois Honor Guard following the service. Interment will be in Lakelawn Memorial Park, Reynoldsville, Pa.
