JoAnn "Joanie" Tokarcik, 68, Tokarcik Lane, Brockway, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2015, at Penn Highlands DuBois.
Born June 27, 1946, in DuBois, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ethel Allen DuBeck. She was married to Richard Tokarcik on Oct. 1, 1971. He preceded her in death July 14, 2013.
Retired, she had been employed at Paris Cleaners.
Joanie had a deep love for the Lord and was a member of the Crenshaw Community Church.
She also was a member at the Chatter Box Café and Social Center.
She enjoyed attending antique car shows and spending time with friends and family.
She is survived by two sisters, Cheryl (Bill) Rhoades of Punxsutawney, and Helen Marie Park of West Monroe, La.; two brothers, Joseph (Robin) DuBeck of Cyclone, Anthony DuBeck of DuBois; a stepson, Richard Tokarcik Jr.; and two grandsons, Benjamin and Davy. Joanie is also survived by seven nieces and nephews, numerous great-nieces and nephews and her soulmate William "Bill" Johnson of Elbon.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Bill DuBeck; and her stepdad, Joby Morris.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11 at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 12 at the funeral home with Pastor Faith Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Crenshaw Community Church, The Chatter Box or the .
