John A. Kutoloski, 78, 820 Worth St., Reynoldsville, died Tuesday afternoon Feb. 24, 2015, at his home after a short illness.
Born March 27, 1936, in Reynoldsville, he was a son of the late John J. and Mary Catherine Siemucha Kutoloski. He married Margaret Peggy Smith Kutoloski May 4, 1957. She survives.
John was a 1953 graduate of Reynoldsville High School and a 1955 graduate of DuBois Business College with an associate's degree in accounting.
John was retired. Formerly, he worked as a carman with the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, DuBois shop, from 1955-1967 and was the self-employed owner/operator of John's Service and Kwik-Shop from 1967-1991 and the Bradford Street Beer Distributor Inc. from 1985-1997.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Reynoldsville. He served as usher for his church for more than 50 years. He was also a member of the Fr. Raymond F. Dugan Council K of C and served as Grand Knight for two terms. He was a Fourth Degree member of St. Martin of Tours Council and served as Faithful Navigator. He was a past Exalted Ruler of the Reynoldsville Elks.
John is also survived by three daughters, Dr. Karen S. Kutoloski (Sven Asnien) of Solon, Ohio, Susan Day (Dennis) of Reynoldsville and Ann Marie Ross (Ronald) of Akron, Ohio; eight grandchildren: Derik Day (Ashley), JoDee Mulhollan (Heath), Kristin Day, Alec Asnien, Carter Asnien, Andrew Ross, Hannah Ross and Brandon Ross; two great-grandchildren, Jacob Day and Claire Mulhollan; and a sister, Rosemary Wingert of Broomfield, Colo.
Friends will be recieved from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, at the Bernard P. Snyder Funeral Home in Reynoldsville. Rosary will be prayed at 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 27, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Reynoldsville with the Rev. Fr. Richard C. Tomasone as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Reynoldsville.
