John H. Frantz, 66, Luthersburg, passed away Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017, at Penn Highlands DuBois.
Born Feb. 1, 1951, in DuBois, he was the son of the late Clair and Ester Mae (Muth) Frantz.
He married Brenda L. Dressler on Oct. 19, 2002, in Reynoldsville. She survives.
John graduated from the DuBois Area High School in 1969. He was a driver for Advanced Disposal. John was a member of Clearfield County ABATE and the Clearfield Moose. His hobbies included riding his bikes, collecting pickup trucks, and spending time with his pets and Danny, his grandson.
He is survived by his children, Aaron Dressler of Luthersburg, James (Stacy) Frantz of Portage, Pa., Jody Frantz and fiancée, Ashley Gearhart, of DuBois, and Patty, Krissy, and Cassandra Frantz; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, George Frantz of Luthersburg and Don (Debbie) Frantz of DuBois; and three sisters, Irene Wolfe, Mary Schriver and Judy Galentine.
John was preceded in death by his parents; 12 brothers and sisters; a daughter, Debbie Galentine; and a granddaughter, Brittanie Frantz.
Friends and family will be received Tuesday, Feb. 21, from 2-8 p.m. and Wednesday, Feb. 22, from 10-11 a.m. at the Adamson Funeral Chapel, Inc. in DuBois. A funeral service will follow Wednesday's visitation at 11 a.m. at the funeral chapel with Rev. Tim Connor officiating. Interment will be in Rockton Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Jefferson County ABATE's Ride for a New Life fund in support of the local NICU.
