Joyce Ann Grecco, age 75, of Bond Street Brockway, Pa., passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at Highland View Health Care in Brockway after a short illness.
Born in DuBois, Pa., on Dec. 1, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Ethel Johnson Elias. On May 28, 1960, she was married to Richard "Rich" Grecco and he survives.
Retired, Joyce had been employed as a cafeteria worker at the Brockway High School for 10 years.
She was a member at St. Tobias Church in Brockway, the Rosary Society and was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary at Parson-Marnati Post 95.
Her greatest joy in life came from taking care of her grandchildren and participating in the many activities they were involved in.
In addition to her husband Rich she is also survived by four sons: Paul (Jean Marie) Grecco, Kevin (Lisa) Grecco, Bruce (Robin) Grecco, Bob (Kim) Grecco, all of Brockway. She is also survived by nine grandchildren: Michael (Kate), Peter, Eric (fiancée Holly), Ian, Brock, Cole, Paige, Janel and Bryce Grecco and one great-granddaughter, Brooklyn.
In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by three brothers, James, Herbert and Donald Elias as well as a sister, Alma Cappetta. She is also preceded in death by an infant brother who was a twin to Herbert.
Calling hours will be on Sunday, March 5 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 6 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Tobias Church in Brockway with Msgr. Charles Kaza presiding. Burial will follow in St. Tobias Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Brockway School District or St. Tobias Church.
