Judith A. McClelland, 69, 74 Williamson Road, Hempfield Township, Greenville, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014, in Cleveland Clinic with her family at her side.
Mrs. McClelland was born Sept. 20, 1945, in Mercer, to Richard F. and Hazel W. Pizer Canon.
She was a 1963 graduate of Lakeview High School and a 1967 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she received her B.S. in English education. In addition, she completed her master's degree in English in 1972.
From 1969-1976, she worked as an English teacher at Greenville Senior High School and for over 30 years, she was employed as a distribution coordinator at the Werner Co., Greenville.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Greenville. Judy had been a volunteer at UPMC Horizon, Greenville and was a past treasurer of the Hospital Auxiliary.
She was a member of the Greenville Family Moose Center #276 and was a past member of B.P.W.
She very much enjoyed her dinner and card clubs, day trips to the casino, traveling to the beach with her family and she truly loved spending time with her grandchildren.
On Dec. 26, 1970, she married Dennis P. McClelland; he survives at home. Also surviving are a daughter, Kristi A. Stoyer of Hermitage; a son, Richard P. McClelland and his wife, Anne, of DuBois; a sister, Dixie Piper and her husband, Gary, of Brookville; four grandchildren: Connor and Cole Stoyer and Emily and Madison McClelland.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a special uncle, George R. Pizer.
Calling hours will be from 4-7 p.m. today, (Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014), at the Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 366-268 S. Main St., Greenville. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 7, at the funeral home with the Rev. Rex Waxxer, Pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Shenango Valley Cemetery.
