Justin L. Kaufman, 29, DuBois, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2016, in West Virginia.
Born Feb. 17, 1987, in DuBois, he was the son of Irwin J. "Ernie" and Sheila Kaufman and Janice L. Alcibiade. They survive.
Justin graduated from the DuBois Area High School in 2005. At Lock Haven University, he studied to become a registered nurse and a surgical technician. He was employed as a traveling registered nurse.
Justin enjoyed golf, fishing, motorcycles, skiing, and spending time with his beloved cat, Cheeto, and his dog, Rocco. He was an avid Steelers fan.
He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.
Justin is survived by his parents; two siblings, Sarah M. Mortimer and future brother-in-law, Joshua Kistler, of Arnold, Pa. and Josh K. Kaufman of Rockton; maternal grandmother, Patricia Alcibiade; grandfather, Keith Marshall; aunts and uncles, Janet and Rod Morris of Kittanning, Perry Kaufman of Cowansville, Kim Acibiade of Arnold, Christine Mayfield of Arkansas, Kim and Jim Norris, Gretchen and Lance Marshall, Steve Marshall, all of DuBois, and Marie Bertuzzi of Toronto, Canada; his best friend and love of his life, Deb Stolfer, as well as numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Scipione Alcibiade, and his paternal grandparents, George Kaufman and Catherine and Andrew Buriak and maternal grandmother, Marna Marshall
Friends and family will be received from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday, April 23, and from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, April 24, at the Adamson Funeral Chapel, Inc., 1312 Chestnut Ave., DuBois. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Bob McKay officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell, Pa.
