Kathy J. Hallowell, age 68, of Central Christian Road, DuBois, Pa., died Friday, Oct. 20, 2017, at Penn Highlands DuBois.
Born on Sept. 28, 1949, in DuBois, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Edward and Gloria (Alexander) Nasuti.
On July 8, 1967, she married David R. Hallowell. They celebrated 50 years of marriage this year.
Kathy retired as the assistant manager at Matthews Hallmark at the DuBois Mall after many years of service.
She was a member of the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church and she enjoyed her grandchildren and following their many activities.
Kathy was always ready for an adventure. If there was an empty seat; her butt was in it. She was the consummate party planner and holiday organizer. She loved celebrating family and friends and always remembered special days in their lives.
She is survived by two children, Brenda L. Kunselman and husband Scott, and Bob D. Hallowell and wife Heather, both of DuBois, Pa.; two brothers, Ed Nasuti and wife Della, and Bill Nasuti and wife Barb, both of DuBois, Pa.; a sister, Jacque Boyles and husband Ronald of Clearfield, Pa.; and four grandchildren: Haley and Aliza Hallowell, and Courtney and Isaac Kunselman.
Visitation will be held on Monday, Oct. 23, 2017, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. from the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., DuBois.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017 at 11 a.m. from the funeral home with Pastor Leon Blose officiating.
Burial will follow in Morningside Cemetery.
