Kay Ruth Craft, 76, Treasure Lake, DuBois, passed away Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018, after a lengthy illness.
She was born May 5, 1941, in Sykesville, daughter of the late James and Ruth (Jehu) Buhite. She was married to Bill "Bucky" Craft. He survives in Treasure Lake.
Kay is also survived by two children, Bernard (Christina) Craft, Virginia and Ellen (Robert) Spicher, DuBois; a sister, Mona (Leo) Cramer, Sykesville; two brothers, George (Patti) Buhite, Juneau, Alaska, Terry (Evelyn) Buhite, Statham, Ga.; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a special friend/caregiver she thought of as a daughter, Kim (Joe) Andres.
Kay was a graduate of Sykesville High. She was a homemaker for most of her life. She attended Treasure Lake Church.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by an infant son, Michael Joseph Campagnola, and an infant sister, Sally Jean Buhite.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, Jan. 21, from 2 – 4 p.m. and Monday, Jan. 22 from 10 – 11 a.m. at the Leo Nedza Funeral Home in DuBois. Funeral Services will follow on Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Dick Whitaker officiating. Burial will take place in Sykesville Cemetery.
