Leslie (Earley) Osikowicz, 36, Punxsutawney, passed on Tuesday, July 26, 2016, surrounded by her family.
She was born June 26, 1980, in DuBois, Pa., a daughter of Donna M. (Shiock) and Dr. Samuel L. Earley, who survive.
On Jan. 12, 2008, in Reynoldsville, she married Patrick J. Osikowicz, who survives.
Leslie was a member of Saints Cosmas and Damian Roman Catholic Church of Punxsutawney.
She was a graduate of DuBois Area High School Class of 1998 and went on to attend Penn State University where she earned her bachelor's degree in accounting. She worked as VP/Assistant Controller for First Commonwealth Bank.
She was a member of the Indiana Road Runners Club, a Board Member of the local American Red Cross, and a Morale Leader for THON at Penn State.
Leslie was an avid sports fan, especially for Penn State. She ran in the New York City Marathon and also the Rock and Roll Marathon in San Diego. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her friends, family, and eight nieces and nephews.
She appreciated all the support she received from her #LesliesLionpack.
Leslie's courage and strength served as an inspiration to all who knew her. Her kind and sweet nature will always be remembered.
In addition to her husband and parents, surviving relatives include three sisters, Jennifer Fezell and husband Doug of Franklin, Pa., Ellen Hayden and husband Ryan of Reynoldsville, and Emily Lausch and husband Wes of Pittsburgh; eight nieces and nephews: Samuel, Lucas, Nicholas, Nathan, Bowen, Callie, Zeke, and Harper; mother and father-in-law, Debbie and Dave Osikowicz of Punxsutawney; grandmother-in-law, Helen Johnson of Punxsutawney; sister-in-law, Nicole Mahsoob and husband Jad of Wexford; brother-in-law, Seth Osikowicz and wife Shannon of Saxonburg, Pa.; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, William and Irene Shiock; her paternal grandparents, Samuel and Amy Earley; and a cousin, Todd Covert.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 29, 2016, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.
A funeral mass will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 30, 2016, at Ss.C.D. Church with Monsignor Joseph Riccardo officiating.
Interment will be in Adrian-Anita Roman Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, in memory of Leslie, to the Penn State Dance Marathon or VNA Family Hospice.
