Lois M. Caldwell (1925 - 2015)

Lois M. Caldwell, 89, a guest at Brookside Senior Living in Brookville, formerly of Hazen, returned to her soul mate, Ernest R. Caldwell, of over 65 years Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015. She died at Brookside Senior Living.
Born March 15, 1925, in Punxsutawney, she was a daughter of the late Wayne Evans and Eva Jane Burkett. She was married to Ernest R. Caldwell. He preceded her in death Nov. 23, 2010.
She worked as a beautician and owner and operator of Lois's Salon of Beauty in Hazen.
She was a member of the Hazen United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star #320 of Brookville.
Lois and her sister Doris, known as the Evans Sisters, loved to sing country music, recording an album and performing at Fanfair in Nashville, Tenn.
Survivors include a daughter, Sherry Delio (Paul) of Brockway; a brother, Gerald Evans of Punxsutawney; a sister, Doris Startzell of Hazen; and one granddaughter, Tara Lin Caldwell May (Michael) of Alexandria, Va.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Larry Caldwell; three brothers: Wayne, Milford and Clyde Evans; and three sisters: Minnie Furman, Martha Brosius and Alma Pifer.
Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015, at the McKinney Funeral Home in Brookville. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, 2015, at the funeral home with the Rev. Don Henderson officiating. Burial will be in Temple Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to a .
