The ever classy Lorraine Tamburlin, age 95, of Brockport, Pa., died Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016, peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born Nov. 8, 1920, in Drummond, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Francesca Gregorio Grecco.
She graduated from Brockway High School and continued on to graduate from Beauty School in DuBois, Pa.
She went on to own and operate a beauty salon for many years.
She was a member of St. Tobias Church and Rosary Society, Brockport Lioness Club, Red Hat Society and Brockway Glass Golf League.
She enjoyed music, dancing, playing cards, shopping, golfing, trips to Florida and Salamanca, and spending time with her family; especially her dog Blondie.
She was preceded in death by Leo, her husband of 65 years.
She was the youngest of 12 and the last living member of her siblings.
Lorraine is survived by two sons, Gary and wife LouAnn of 446 Main St., Kersey and Robert and his wife Louan of 112 Nova Lane, Pine, Colo. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Jeff Tamburlin (Jen), Kimberly Parrett (Jeff), Gina Geer (Jim), Sheena Tamburlin, Alicia Sheeley (Matt), and Joey Tamburlin (Savannah Christy.) Seven great-grandchildren: Dorian, Owen, Mason, Tyler, Lucas, Ashleigh and Spencer; and two step great-grandchildren, Lakyn and Lauren.
She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and three nieces that were raised with her like sisters: Rosalie Armstrong, Francis Bozich and Josephine Taylor.
A viewing will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, at Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home in Brockway, and from 8:30-9:15 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, also at the funeral home. A Vigil Service will be held at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 7 at St. Tobias Church in Brockway with Msgr. Charles Kaza presiding. Burial will follow in St. Tobias Cemetery.
Memorials can be made to charities of the donor's choosing.
