Louise D. Rutkowski, 100, DuBois, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017 at Christ the King Manor.
Born Feb. 22, 1917, in DuBois, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Anna (Marusiak) Monikowski.
Louise married Casimir Rutkowski on July 17, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan. He preceded her in death on July 8, 1995.
Louise attended DuBois Area Schools and was a homemaker. She enjoyed crafts, gardening, and reading. Louise was active in the Rosary Society and Infant of Prague Society at St. Michael Archangel Roman Catholic Church and was a member of the Pulaski Club.
She is survived by four children: Gerald Rutkowski of North Port, Fla., Casimir A. Rutkowski of Troy, Mich., Michael A. Rutkowski of Canadian Lakes, Mich., and Nancy L. Bibbins of Bradenton, Fla.; four grandsons; three granddaughters; six great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was the last member of her immediate family.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters, Dorothy Monikowski, Jean Cheslock, and Stella Shimko, and three brothers, Stan, Allen, and Julius Monikowski.
Friends and family will be received Friday, Nov. 24th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with a Rosary Service being held at 1:30 p.m. at the Adamson Funeral Chapel, Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, Nov. 25th at 10 a.m. at the St. Michael Archangel Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery.
