Loye L. Catalone, 86, of 19450 Bennetts Valley Highway, Weedville, passed away Monday, June 12, 2017, at Penn Highlands DuBois, after a brief illness.
She was born Sept. 3, 1930, in Frenchville, daughter of the late Harry and Mary Bain Buck. She was a graduate of Clearfield High School and had been a resident of Weedville for the past 55 years.
On July 21, 1951, in St. Agnes Church in St. Marys, Loye married Mario B. Catalone, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Rose Petrini (John) of Weedville; three sons, Dana Catalone (Julie) of Scattertown, Victor Catalone (Susan) of Weedville, and Craig Catalone (Deirdre) of Weedville; four grandchildren: Lucas Catalone, Bradley Catalone, Matthew Catalone, and Christine Catalone; and three brothers, James Buck (June) of Philadelphia, Delmont Buck (Judy) of Ocala, Fla., and David Buck (Sue) of Manheim, Pa.
In addition to her parents, Loye was preceded in death by a son, Michael Catalone; five sisters: Colleen Buck, Madelyn Graham-Lauder, Maxine Buck, Roseann Buck, and Gladys Buck; and by two brothers, Marlin Buck and Russell Buck.
Loye was a member of the Weedville Wesleyan Church and the Bennetts Valley American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed her flowers, working in her yard, and baking. She also enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held in the Weedville Wesleyan Church on Friday, June 16, 2017, at 11 a.m., with Luke Nelson, officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Thursday, June 15, 2017, from 5 until 8 p.m.
