Lucy L. Sneddon, 88, of Rochester, N.Y., formerly of DuBois, Pa., passed away Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015, at Unity Park Ridge Hospital in Rochester, N.Y.
She was born on May 20, 1927, in Morgan Run, Pa. to the late Creighton I. and Emma R. Smeal.
She was the beloved wife of the late Earl Dean Sneddon.
Lucy was an employee for approximately 15 years at Cameron Manufacturing in Reynoldsville and a nurse's aide at Christ the King Manor, DuBois for 25 years. She was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in DuBois.
Anyone that ever met Lucy knew her to be a warm and kindhearted friend. Her love of angels lead so many in her life to bless her with gifts of angels from all over the world. This brought her much joy in her lifetime and now, in her passing, she will be surrounded with angels and has earned her wings.
She is survived by a son, Dennis E. Sneddon and his wife Diann K. of Hilton, N.Y.; a daughter, Diana Lynn (Sneddon) Lytal and her husband Tony of Ewa Beach, Hawaii; six grandchildren: Darren Sneddon and his wife Joanna of Hilton, N.Y., Danene (Sneddon) Smith of Hilton, N.Y., Jennifer Kriner and her husband Adam of Brockway, Whitney Tarbox of Sacramento, Calif., Michael Tarbox of Sacramento, Calif., and Isabella Lytal of Ewa Beach, Hawaii; six great-grandchildren: Triston Kriner, Samantha and Benjamin Sneddon, Brayden and Tanner Smith, and Levi Tarbox; three siblings, Wanda George of Dunkirk, Md., Joyce Lombardo of Colonial Beach, Va., and Ronald Smeal of Buffalo, N.Y., as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Creighton and Emma Smeal; husband, Earl Dean Sneddon; and siblings: Don Smeal, Maurice Smeal, Elsie Price, Russell Smeal, Leon Smeal, Kenneth Smeal, Elwood Smeal, Robert Dean Smeal, and Gerald Smeal.
Services will be held at the Adamson Funeral Chapel, Inc. Friends and family will be received from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 18, with Pastor Kelley Schanely officiating. Interment will be in Morningside Cemetery.
