Margaret E. Weir, 94, DuBois, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016, at Christ the King Manor.
Born Sept. 24, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Cletus and Lillian (Monahan) Malony.
On March 14, 1947, she married Herbert G. Weir in DuBois. He preceded her in death on February 29, 2000.
She was a devoted housewife. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Her greatest joy was doing activities with her family.
She is survived by her children, Mary Ann (Don) Grant of Brookville, Patricia "Patty" Hilliard of DuBois, Peg (Bud) Ellis of Rockton, Robert Weir of DuBois, Jean Foster of Franklin, Joan (Ed) Galluzzi of DuBois, and Rhonda (Pat) Flanders of DuBois; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; a sister, Madeline Celinski of Ohio, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband; brother, Tom Monahan; two sisters, Rosemary Papa and Pat Adams; a grandson, Chad Weir; and a step-grandson, Robert Ellis.
Friends and family will be received Friday, Oct. 14, from 3-8 p.m. at the Adamson Funeral Chapel, Inc. of DuBois. A funeral service will be held Saturday, Oct. 15, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m. with Msgr Richard Siefer officiating. Interment will be in St. Catherine's Cemetery.
