Marian Ann Marshall, 88, Rattlesnake Road, Brockport, died Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at Highland View Health Care Center in Brockway.
Born June 28, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary Puhala Koval. She was married to John "Jack" Marshall on Feb. 16, 1949. He survives.
Retired, Marian had been employed at Brockway Glass for 43 years as a packer.
She is a member at St. Tobias Church in Brockway, where she also was a Rosary Society member.
Marian was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. The most important thing to her was being with and caring for her family. She cherished and remained close to her brothers and sisters and their families throughout their lives.
As a homemaker, she was known for her good home cooking and preparing large meals for her family.
She is also survived by a daughter, Susan (Joe) Starkey of Pittsburgh; three sons: John Marshall of Crenshaw, Richard Marshall of Brockport, James (Donna) Marshall of Brockway; two sisters, Patricia (Mike) Cimbora of Brockway, Genevieve Smith of Rosemont, Minn.; nine grandchildren: John, Brian, Joshua, Justin, Sam, Jack, Cristina, Michael, Mary Ann; and three great-grandchildren: Xavier, Emma and Maura.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Ann Martini; four brothers: James, Richard "Dick", Robert, Tom Koval; and four sisters: Agnes Baka, Betty Mooney, Irene Halko and infant sister Shirley. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. A vigil service will be held at 8:45 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Monday, March 9 at St. Tobias Church with the Rev. Msgr. Charles Kaza presiding. Burial will follow in St. Tobias Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Tobias Church, 1100 Hewitt St., Brockway, Pa. 15824.
