Marjorie E. Winterbottom, 94, Alexander Street, Brockway, died Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2015, at Highland View Health Care Center in Brockway. She was a former 9th Avenue resident for many years.
Born Dec. 10, 1920, in Brockway, she was the daughter of the late Arthur J. and Agnes Foster Winterbottom.
Retired, Marge was a Registered Nurse and had worked for many years at Dr. Nicholas Lorenzo's office in Brockway and later for Dr. Badamo.
She was a member at St. Tobias Church in Brockway and was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and the Rosary Society.
Marge enjoyed playing Bridge, Scrabble and loved to read.
She is survived by the following cousins: Sylvia Verne of Brockway, Donald DeMore of Louisville, Texas; Larry Foster of Brockway; Gerard Regotti of Wellington, Fla.; Ruth Regotti of Cleveland, Ohio; Chuck Foster of Boston, Mass.; she is also survived by her caretaker, Barbara Pisarchick; as well as numerous other cousins, including Mark Singer of Monks, S.C.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Winterbottom.
Friends will be received from 6-9 p.m. tonight (Friday, Aug. 7) at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. Brockway. A Vigil Service will be held at 8:45 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Tobias Church also in Brockway with the Rev. Msgr. Charles Kaza presiding. Burial will be in St. Tobias Cemetery in Brockway.
