Martha "Marty" Ann Kos, 90, Christ the King Manor, formerly of Stump Creek, passed away Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014, at Christ the King Manor.
She was born Sept. 9, 1924, in Clearfield, Pa. She was the daughter of the late Perry and Anna Marie Getz McMains.
Martha was married to Donald Clifton Curley in March 1944 in Erie; he preceded her in death. They had four girls and one boy. She married Rudy L. Kos in July 1969 in Ridgway, Pa., with whom she shared many joyful years until his passing in November 2011.
After completing her academic studies within the Clearfield school system, Martha held executive secretary positions with the Hershey Company, B.F. Goodrich and Curtiss-Wright Operations in Quehanna, Pa. Martha retired from her trusted position at the S.T. Bank She was passionate about Eastern Star and served as Worthy Matron, and she also expressed her artistic nature by studying and obtaining a certificate in cosmetology.
Martha is survived by three daughters: Dawna Raburn of N. Tonawanda, N.Y., Wendy Mainieri of Colchester, Vt., and Robin Wright of Las Vegas, Nev.; 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Martha was also preceded in death by her son, Mike Curley; daughter, Judith Ferguson; and brother, Earl McMains.
There will not be any visitation. Burial will take place in LakeLawn Memorial Park in Reynoldsville. In lieu of flowers family suggest donations to Christ the King Manor.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Leo Nedza Funeral Home of Sykesville.
