Martha O. Beam, 76, Dixon Avenue, DuBois, died Tuesday, June 9, 2015, at Penn Highlands DuBois.
Born Feb. 20, 1939, in DuBois, she was the daughter of the late James H. Drum and Catherine (Ball) Drum Beers. On Nov. 20, 1981, she married Donald E. Beam. He survives.
She was a homemaker and had worked at Shop-N-Save and Quaker Market in DuBois.
She was a member of the Sandy Hose Co. #1 Fireman's Club, the Swedish American Club and the Polish Citizen's Club.
Martha is survived by eight children: Joseph B. Spellen Sr. and his spouse, Joseph Tegano, of Penfield, James T. Spellen Sr. of DuBois, Mary "Cathy" Dotts and her husband, Terry, of Reynoldsville, Sharon L. Wells and her husband, Edward, of DuBois, John E. Spellen of DuBois, Sarah A. Dillman and her husband, James of Naples, Fla., Donald R. Beam and Thomas E. Beam of DuBois; one stepsister, Edith Rhines of Richardsville; a brother, George Beers and his wife, Jackie, of Reynoldsville; 18 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Terry L. Taylor; five brothers: James, Harry, Robert, and John Drum and William Beers; a sister, Catherine Henneman; a stepbrother, Jim Beers; and a stepsister, Marie Bochart.
Visitation will be held from 3-7 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2015, at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home, DuBois. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 13, 2015, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Luthersburg Union Cemetery.
