Mary M. Marino, 97, a guest at the Jefferson Manor, formerly of Osborne Road, Brookville, died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014, at Jefferson Manor, Brookville.
Born Oct. 12, 1917, in Clover Run, Clearfield County, she was the daughter of the late Clair Haag and Kathern Freedline Haag. She was married to Vincent E. Marino on Jan. 29, 1938, in Brookville. He preceded her in death June 1, 2003.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Brookville where she was active in church affairs. She was creative and talented at sewing, knitting, gardening, cooking and baking. She especially enjoyed her family.
Survivors include three sons and two daughters: Fred Marino (Marie) of Independence, Va., Diane L. Marino of Brookville, Barbara L. Marino of Reading, Mass., Daniel J. Marino (Laurel) of Thompson Station, Tenn., Anthony V. Marino (Bonnie) of Calvin; a daughter-in-law, Linda Marino of Sugar Grove; a sister, Freda E. Heriger of Brookville; 19 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Vincent P. Marino; and a grandson, Brandon Marino; two brothers and one sister.
Friends will be received from 5-9 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014, at the McKinney Funeral Home in Brookville. A service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 29, at the Immaculate Conception Church in Brookville, with the Rev. William Laska officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Rose Township, Jefferson County.
