Maynard M. Borden, 90, of Reynoldsville, Pa., died on Thursday, Nov. 23, 2017, at Jefferson Court in Brookville, Pa.
Born Tuesday, Sept. 20, 1927, in Reynoldsville, Pa., he was the son of the late Rufus H. Borden and the late Muriel E. (Burris) Borden. He was the husband of the late Evelyn L. (Sprague) Borden.
He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the John M. Read Masonic Lodge #536. He Volunteered at the Reynoldsville Senior Center and enjoyed playing pool and watching the Steelers and Pirates.
He is survived by his two sons, Terry Borden of Reynoldsville, Pa., and Randy Borden of Broomfield, Colo.; he leaves behind nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife he was predeceased by brother, Warner Borden and sisters, Carolyn Brody and Althea Myers.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, at Bernard P. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., located at 206 E. Main St., Reynoldsville, PA 15851, with the Rev. Steven J. Hendrickson officiating. Military honors will be performed by the DuBois Area Honor Guard following the service. Interment will be in Lakelawn Memorial Park, Reynoldsville, Pa.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 1, 2017, at the funeral home.
