Michael J. "Q-Bert" Uberti, 58, of Punxsutawney, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Uberti was born June 15, 1957, in St. Marys, a son of the late John J. and Colleen A. (Gaffey) Uberti.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lou (Pifer) Uberti of Punxsutawney.
Mr. Uberti worked many years as a journeyman pipe fitter before retirement. He was a member of L U #354, Eagles and MOOSE in Punxsutawney. Q-Bert was an avid Steelers fan and also enjoyed NASCAR. He had strong faith and loved the Lord.
In addition to his wife Lou, he is survived by two daughters, Zita Tyger and husband Dan of Creekside, Sasha Uberti of Kansas City, Mich.; one stepson, Josh Snyder of Georgia; and one step daughter, Michelle Burkett and husband Mark of eastern Pa. He is also survived by one brother, J. Thomas Uberti and wife Joanna of Punxsutawney; two sisters, Lorraine London and husband Wayne of DuBois, Linda Uberti of Punxsutawney; and six grandchildren: Zachary, Canyon, Maverick, Xavier, Collin, Ryan; and his dog, Jack.
He is preceded in death by one brother, Terrence M. Uberti and an infant granddaughter; Shayla Rose.
Friends will be received from 4 until 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney where a funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. with Joseph Buterbaugh officiating.
