Michael L. Crytser Sr., 67, Butler, formerly of DuBois, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014, at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.
Born Dec. 30, 1946, in DuBois, he was the son of the late Robert L. Crytser Sr. and Evelyn Pauline Crytser. He was married to Elaine Swartzlander-Crytser on Sept. 8, 2007.
He attended Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology in Lancaster.
He was a retired purchasing manager at United Electric Cooperative. He was a former member of the Boards of Directors of United Electric Cooperative, Sandy Township Planning Committee, DuBois Little League and DuFast.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Butler and attended Tri-County Church in DuBois.
He enjoyed fishing in Canada and camping with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine; his son, Michael L. Crytser Jr. and his wife, Jennifer; his stepdaughter, Meredith Lindsay and her husband, James; his stepson, Andrew Smith and his wife, Gina; and his sister, Charlene Halowell and her husband, Robert. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Jillian Bruni-Crytser, Lennon and Jacob Lindsay and Alaina Smith.
A memorial celebration will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler or to the .
