Nora Belle Lindemuth, age 87, a resident at Christ the King Manor in DuBois (a lifelong Sugar Hill resident) died on Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2016, at the Manor.
Born on April 12, 1929, in Brookville, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Norman N. and Mable McCombie Himes. Nora was married to Austin "Bud" Lindemuth and he preceded her in death on Sept. 12, 2010.
Retired, she had been employed at Brockway Glass as a selector/packer for 34 years.
She was a member of the Sugar Hill Presbyterian Church.
Nora enjoyed family functions and get togethers, and cooking big dinners was always an enjoyable event for her. She also enjoyed playing cards, gardening and growing flowers.
She is survived by a daughter, Susan (Rod) Patterson of Brockway; three sons: Rodger (Becky) Lindemuth of Brookville, Russell (Brenda) Lindemuth of Brockway and Mel Lindemuth, also of Brockway. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Nora was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents and her husband, she is also preceded in death by an infant son, Austin; four brothers: Clarence, Leroy, Pete and George Himes; two sisters, Rhoda Vandervort, Iva "Dot" Aaron; and a stepsister, Sue Georgic.
All services for Nora will be private at the convenience of her family. Burial will be in the Temple Cemetery at Hazen.
Memorial donations may be made to the Sugar Hill Presbyterian Church.
