Orland O. Penvose, 86, Helvetia Road, Luthersburg, died Thursday, Sept. 4, 2014, at the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Born Oct. 2, 1927, in Brockway, he was the son of the late John and Helen Saline Penvose.
On June 27, 1953, he married Dolores Vilkinofsky Penvose. She survives.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, where he served during World War II.
Orland retired from Nupp Printing in Sykesville after over 40 years of service.
He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Sykesville, where he had been a member since his youth. He loved to watch all sports and enjoyed golfing.
Orland is survived by three brothers: Ronald Penvose and his wife, Rose, of Buffalo, N.Y.; Richard Penvose and his wife, Joyce, of Sykesville; and Neil Penvose and his wife, Michelle, of Harrisburg; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Sevilla and Mary Helen, and one brother, Lester.
Visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8, 2014, at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home, DuBois. A funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Tharren J. Thompson officiating.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
