Peggy A. Lindemuth, 61, of Hazen, Pa., died on Monday, Aug. 14, 2017, at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.
Born Monday, Dec. 19, 1955, in DuBois, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Harry A. Burtop and the late Betty L. (Cryster) Burtop. She was married to her husband, William Craig Lindemuth, on April 22, 1978. The couple celebrated 38 wonderful years of marriage this year. He survives.
She was a preschool teacher at Growin Grace Preschool in Brookville, Pa., for 29 years; she touched the lives of many children and their families. She considered all of her students as her own children. She enjoyed reading, camping and especially spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughter, Krissy Lindemuth (Dan Shaffer) of Brookville, Pa.; daughter-in-law, Karen Forsythe (Mark) of Falls Creek, Pa.; brothers, Edward Burtop (Sheri) of Reynoldsville, Pa., John Burtop of York, Pa., and Harry Burtop of Reynoldsville, Pa.; sister, Penny Thompson (Daniel) of Sigel, Pa.; father-in-law, Clyde Lindemuth; sisters-in-law, Teresa Clontz, Brenda Milford (Tim) and Tammy Swank (Dan); grandchildren: Derek Shaffer, Rachel Moore, Molly and Elizabeth Confer; great-grandson, Leeland; and numerous nieces, nephews and countless family members.
She was predeceased by her parents; son, Joseph Lindemuth; brother, Eugene Burtop; and mother-in-law, Marjorie Lindemuth.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 19, 2017, at Grace Lutheran Church, located at 160 Franklin Ave., Brookville, PA 15825, with the Rev. Benjamin Austin officiating. Interment will be in Temple Cemetery, Hazen, Pa.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 18, 2017, at Bernard P. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., 206 E. Main Street, Reynoldsville, Pa.
