Peggy Marie Spelock, 92, formerly of Pratt, W.Va., passed away June 17, 2017, at Christ the King Manor in DuBois, Pa.
Born on April 1, 1925, in Durham, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Roy and Roxie (Cox) Waller.
She married Chester Spelock on July 8, 1944, in Durham, N.C. She and her husband lived in Pratt, W.Va. for over 60 years, where they built their own home and established beautiful gardens. He preceded her in death on Feb. 20, 2015. She later joined her daughter, Linda, in DuBois, Pa.
Peggy was a graduate of Durham, N.C., High School.
Before retiring, Peggy worked for the A&P Grocery chain and as an assistant in the bookstore of West Virginia Institute of Technology in Montgomery, W.Va.
She was an excellent guitar player and singer, and enjoyed making pottery, gardening, sewing and was an ace canasta player. She relished in being a grandmother. She was a long-time volunteer for the Montgomery General Hospital. Peggy was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church of Montgomery, W.Va.
Peggy is survived by one daughter, Linda Enseki, of DuBois; three sisters, Roxie Pulley, Rosa Shambly, and Faye Creech, all of North Carolina; two grandsons, Keelan (Cara) Enseki of Pittsburgh and Cameron (Tonya) Enseki of DuBois; four great-granddaughters: Kyrsten, Felicity, Zoie, and Viviana Enseki; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a sister, Helen Harper; and a son-in-law, Fred Enseki.
Private services will be held for the family at their convenience. Arrangements are under the direction of Adamson Funeral Chapel, Inc., DuBois.
Interment will be in Montgomery, W.Va.
